If I say eco fashion, what springs to mind? Hessian? People living in trees? Tie-Dye? Hmmm. You wouldn’t necessarily think stylish culottes, print midi dresses and form-fitting coats, would you? Well that’s exactly what you get from Livia Firth’s new collection for Marks & Spencer’s. Colin Firth’s better half has used her status as the green goddess of fashion to produce a 25-piece collection to promote sustainable, environmentally friendly fashion.
Made from sustainably sourced wool, leather and suede from eco-tanneries, and cotton created according to Better Cotton Initiative standards, The Livia Firth Edit will have its own corner at 13 M&S stores around the UK, and a dedicated space on the retailer’s website. Founder of Green Carpet Challenge and creative director of Eco-Age, Firth has successfully shown how stylish and chic eco fashion can be by choosing only ethically sourced dresses when she takes to the red carpet with her famous beau.
