Dark circles and puffy eyes has never been something I’ve worried about. I was always drawn to glowing skin and glossy hair how-to’s, but I can’t rely on my youthful elasticity anymore (sob). Last year was a real turning point when I had a facial at Gleneagles spa and the therapist said I had really dry eyes and that’s why I was getting fine lines. Fine. Lines. I almost choked on the essential oils – I was 28, fine lines’s were an old person problem. How wrong I was!
After that I became totally obsessed with my eyes – analysing them every day, slathering on cream and tapping them with my ring finger – anything to boost collagen. Slowly I think my crows feet are fading (although my boyfriend says it’s a placebo affect!). I’m still working my way through products and treatments so I’ll keep you posted on things that work and don’t, but one thing I have nailed is disguising puffiness, dark circles and fine lines on a daily basis and it only takes 3 products…
PS. Please excuse my hideous nails in this post – I couldn’t get an appointment but I’m getting them done next week! We’ve all been there, right?
I never understood the power of the rollerball until recently. My god, how could I have been without this for so long? This Etra Belle Golden Skin Cavier Eye Roll On from Glossybox is so cold it makes my eyeball quiver a little but it makes me feel ten times more awake in just a couple of seconds.
With caffeine, sea algae and vitamin C, this cream is a little hit of eye love. There’s no need to store it in the fridge, it stays cool even when it’s stashed in my handbag all day. Lightly tinted, it reflects the light from underneath my eye area making shadows disappear!
