It’s not unusual to hear ooh’s, ahh’s and gasps of awe from the front row of London Fashion Week, but you rarely feel the earth move. But that’s exactly what Anya Hindmarch gave her audience at her SS15 show yesterday.
To give fashion insiders a 360 degree view of her collection, she cleverly sat them on revolving floors so no bag was left unnoticed. This season saw the British designer exercise her inner child as full schoolgirl customisation took hold of her leather goods. To coincide with her new Anya bag stickers, each design had a cartoon speech bubble, doodle or ink stain in a plethora of rainbow hues and oversized tassels.
A truly beautiful, tongue-in-cheek collection that only Hindmarch knows how to pull off with aplomb. But one thing’s for sure, keep these out of reach of children.
