Who needs a traditional runway when you can digitally create one to make your models walk on water? Well, that’s exactly what Ralph Lauren did to début his Polo Ralph Lauren SS15 collection at New York Fashion Week. Taking place at The Lake in Central Park, the renowned designer used iconic scenes from around the city, to form a 4D hologram of his collection.
At the end of the show Ralph Lauren watched alongside the A-list audience as a digital version of himself danced across the water to Fred Astaire’s ‘Fly Me to the Moon’.
The fashion format is changing and Lauren’s showcased the ever-increasing relationship between technology and the fashion industry, perfectly.
