I’m so happy to share some of our wedding day pics with you guys! I know it’s a very personal thing and I was in two minds about whether to or not but I’m so excited about them and I’ve had SO many people ask to see more details from our day.
Despite the cancelled venue and all the stresses (which you can read about HERE), Toff and I had the most beautiful day. Tuscany has always been such a special place for us, it’s like a second home for us and somewhere we can truly relax. We wanted the day to be romantic, laid-back and a little bit rustic. Our new venue, Tenuta Di Groppoli made everything we wanted come true – from the lighting and the decor to the order of the day, they handled everything with such ease. The ceremony was short and sweet with a reading from Les Mis from one of my best girls and traditional vows me and Toff adapted to suit us.
Afterwards we had Aperol Spritz, Prosecco and canapés over-looking the valley and swimming pool listening to our amazing acoustic musician. Dinner was an antipasto platter, homemade pasta and either fresh fish or steak followed by our lighter-than-air wedding cake. We listened to Frank Sinatra, Nick Drake and Fleetwood Mac underneath the trees as the sun set – it was the most stunning setting. Our caterers were an absolute dream and gave us the most beautiful fresh, authentic menu, elegant tableware and the friendliest staff we’ve ever met (who even tucked in a guest who fell asleep on the sun lounger after one too many!)
The rest of the night was spent dancing until the early hours, eating pastries and drinking Limoncello into the night.
The best day of my life…
