So another London Fashion Week comes to an end for another season, and what a season it’s been. On the final day, London designer Ashish showed a collection of shimmer and shine at Topshop’s Show Space. Rainbow sequins, high shine snakeskin, frayed denim and bejewelled leather platforms created a modern-day disco to the catwalk.
In another nod to the Nineties, Osman debuted a “modern Bohemia” comprising of relaxed silhouettes, poncho’s and pearls. Futuristic silver made a decisive appearance teamed with last-minute fringing and mismatched patchwork dresses tapped into the traveller within.
She may be relatively new on the circuit but Simone Rocha is making a big impact on the fashion industry with her poetic concepts and imaginative collections. For SS15 Rocha experimented with Medieval shapes in the form of bustle skirts, fitted corsets and feather detailing. Opening with a sombre colour palette, the mood gradually lightened with an eventual finale of vibrant floral silk dresses before muting back to silvery accents.
