They’re well known for their fashion collaborations with the industry’s design leaders but H&M aren’t afraid of finding the next big thing. As part of their initiative to discover new, raw talend, the high street giant has announced the winner of the H&M Design Award for 2014 as Eddy Anemian.
The 24-year old student at La Cambre School in Brussels, Belgium, was hand-picked for the prestigious award by a jury of industry heavyweights that included designer Erdem Moralioglu, Downton Abbey star Michelle Dockery and H&M Creative Advisor Margareta van den Bosch. The young designer not only wins €50,000 cash prize, and the inclusion of his collection at Mercedes-Benz Stockholm Fashion Week, he will also see his 10-piece collection in selected H&M stores and online from the 23rd October.
Not a bad leg-up into the industry.
