I don’t know what it is but whenever I get a parcel delivered I feel like a kid at Christmas. There’s something so exciting about having a package hit the front doormat. Or better still, having the post man hand it to you because it’s too big to fit through the letterbox! I’m incredibly lucky at work that I get sent a lot of things to try. But it doesn’t matter how many I get or what it is, I still feel that sense of anticipation. Every single time. This is exactly why I subscribe to a beauty box. Roccabox’s beauty box to be precise. Having a little box of new beauty products every month makes my entire month. I’ve found some real gems over the years. And the best bit is, I have no idea what they’ll be before they land on my doorstep.
I was incredibly honoured and, to be honest, a little surprised to be asked by Roccabox to be their June blogger of the month and curate a beauty box full of goodies. Having only been blogging properly for a short time, I thought they might have asked the wrong person. Surely, I was going to receive an email saying they’ve made a mistake any day now! But, surprisingly, they didn’t and I was able to choose some of my favourite new products to share with their lovely subscribers. Although I thought it’s be impossible to whittle down my favourite brands to just 5, I made an executive decision. I thought I’d by-pass all of my trusty old faithfuls and use this opportunity to explore some new must-haves.
Here’s what I found and I hope you enjoy using them as much as I did discovering them…
OLVERUM BATH OIL
I know you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, but I am totally guilty of this for everything! For me, packaging is just as important as the product inside which is exactly why I was so drawn to Olverum. Luxe, simple and mysterious, I fell in love with this bath oil more and more as I discovered the family heritage behind the brand. I’m having such an essential oil moment right now. I can’t get enough. I had to put this in my beauty box because not only does it smell amazing, it relaxes my (constantly tense) muscles. It may be small but don’t be fooled as it’s highly concentrated and you only need a capful per bath.

WE ARE TEA SVELTE TEABAG
You guys know how much I’m into my wellness and exercise so I couldn’t curate a beauty box without including a little something for the inside as well as the out. I’ve been drinking We Are T teas for some time now and this is my favourite to keep my sugar cravings at bay! With yerba mate, fennel, ginger, dandelion and seaweed, it’s the perfect detoxing brew. I love drinking a cup in the morning to kick start my digestion and in the afternoon when that 3pm chocolate bar temptation kicks in.

THE VINTAGE COSMETIC COMPANY EYELASH CURLERS
If you read my blog you’ll know that I have a bit of a weakness for rose gold and copper. So, I had to sneak in a little to my beauty box. This was a slightly selfish pick because my eyelash curlers broke a couple of weeks ago! So, I’ve been looking for a great replacement. Eyelash curlers are a must in my beauty regime to open my eyes up and boost my blonde lashes before I coat them in mascara. There’s even a spare pair of silicone pads to keep you going!
BLOOMTOWN BOTANICALS ROLL-ON INFUSED OIL
Staying with my essential oil obsession this season, I wanted to include an on-the-go oil in my beauty box that fits in my handbag. I love perfumes but I am trying to include more oils instead which are kinder to your health and skin. The Rose Garden scent is ideal for summer as it’s light and feminine without being too overpowering. Using all natural ingredients, I slather this onto my pulse points, split ends and even dry skin throughout the day. And the best bit? It smells better as the day goes on.
BELLAPIERE KISS-PROOF LIP CREME IN INCOGNITO
Natural beauty products have saved my skin on many occasions so, when I can I always opt for organic options when I can. This creamy pink/nude shade by Bellapiere is brilliantly pigmented so it lasts all day when I’m in meetings right through to evening drinks. It’s not waterproof so needs topping up if you eat or drink. But it leaves my lips hydrated which is rare to find.
